Using difficult times to our advantage…

without comments

Successful people know that, if used productively, adversity will bring about new and good things. The secret: knowing how to ask the correct question. What do I want? And begin answering the questions until you arrive at a new understanding of the situation. A new perspective. Think of things in a new way. Focus your mind on the possibilities instead of the disasters…Find ways of drawing on your inner resources (and you have many) and then take action.

Napoleon Hill in ‘Think and Grow Rich‘ writes: In adversity, “Look for the seed of an equivalent or greater benefit”. When you look for the seed of an equivalent or greater benefit and work on germinating it, good things happen. What seemed like a terrible outcome can contain the very thing that will propel you to success because you will have unleashes positive forces inside of yourself, which include motivation and imagination. Then get on with it.

ADVERSITY AND DEFEAT

without comments

Every adversity you meet carries with it a seed of equivalent or greater benefit. Realize this statement, and believe in it. Close the door of your mind on all the failures and circumstances of your past so your mind can operate in a Positive Mental Attitude. Every problem has a solution-only you have to find it! Napoleon Hill
There is no such thing as defeat-until you accept it as such! If you can look at problems as temporary setbacks and as stepping-stones to success, you will come to believe that the only limitations you have are the ones in your own mind.

Remember: every defeat, every disappointment in every adversity carries with it to seed an equivalent or greater benefit. (N.H.)

The high price of energy…

The high price of energy and a simple lesson from Positive Psychology

It has been said that we as humans need ‘emotional gas’ to live full and productive lives. Happiness is that source of energy much like the stuff we put in our cars to make them function optimally. According to recent research in Positive Psychology, consciously striving to increase positivity and happiness in our lives is the secret.

Sources of happiness can be found in many places. Daily meditation; vigorous or soft exercise; proper breathing; an attitude of gratefulness for all we have in our lives; communication with and the enjoyment of nature, friends, partners, children and animals. Laughter, hugs, and walking are others simple ways of “adding gas to the emotional tank.”

Find a method that works for you, apply it in your life and you will have “topped up” your reservoir with an inexpensive yet ever so amazing source of energy!
