Summertime: a perfect season to begin meditating

On-going research has revealed all the benefits of meditation. As well as creating a space for ourselves, it refreshes us, helps us see what’s happening now; it makes us more compassionate, and helps us to do better. Meditation is a great stress reliever. Most importantly, meditation creates expanded awareness which contributes to our overall mental and physical health.           

One of the hidden powers in meditation is learning new pathways which resist our old conditioned and autopilot reactions to things and events. Developing new thoughts, feelings and behaviors consciously will eventually determine our success.

Based upon his weekly Harvard Business Review columns, Bregman’s book clearly shows how busy people can cut through all the daily clutter and distractions and find means of focusing on aspects which are truly the top priorities. With time, meditation enables us to create new and more resourceful pathways in our minds.
